The Chardonnay grape has perfectly adapted to our hills and climate; the vineyard is to be found in the surroundings of La Morra.
Grape Variety: Chardonnay.
Geographical location: vineyards in La Morra
Processing: the grapes are harvested when fully matured and the vinification starts straight away when they get into the cellar. First it comes the soft pressing; follows an off-the-skins fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 17°-18°C
Maturation and aging: the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks for 3 months to preserve its freshness and its fruity feature; a short aging in the bottle follows before being sold.
Characteristics: a lovely straw-yellow colour with pale green nuances catches the eye. The nose is full, intense, fruity, flowery and long-lasting. The palate is dry, full-bodied, pleasingly acid but delicate and elegant at the same time. The Chardonnay stands out for its lingering nose. Excellent as an apéritif, ideal with starters and as an accompaniment to first courses with light sauces as well as fish and shellfish. Serving temperature: 8°-10°C
