Tour our wineries

to go back in the history of Sordo 100 years of Barolo

Before you do any tasting, we suggest you tour our historic wineries founded in 1912 by the Sordo family. This guided tour goes from vinification to the rooms with the large Slavonian oak barrels for aging, all the way to the evocative infernòt (underground cellar) 12 meters below ground. The tour will continue through the tunnel for aging wines in large bottles that will lead you to the new winery with a modern architectural design greatly desired by Giorgio Sordo, part of the family’s third-generation. Here you can explore the entire production cycle, from the bottling line to the storage of the bottles with reserve wines that go back to 1989, and lastly ending up in the panoramic salons with the wine shops and tasting room.

"The Classics from Langhe and Roero"

At the end of your tour you can taste three classic wines from Langhe and Roero in the large panoramic salons with a breathtaking view of the Langhe:

  • Roero Arneis D.O.C.G.
  • Barbera d’Alba D.O.C.
  • Barolo D.O.C.G. Classico

“The Big Labels from Langhe”

After the exciting tour of the wineries, with this tasting you can get to know the heart of this grand terroir by tasting two great white wines::
  • Roero Arneis D.O.C.G
  • Langhe Sauvignon D.O.C.
And then three great red wines:
  • Dolcetto d’Alba D.O.C.
  • Nebbiolo d’Alba D.O.C.
  • Barolo D.O.C.G.

“My Vertical Barolo Tasting”

After the tour through the evocative wineries, a triptych of Barolo, the king of wines, the wine of kings awaits you. You can choose from among three vintages of the crus: between Gabutti, Perno, Monvigliero, Ravera, Rocche di Castiglione, and Gabutti, all presented to you by a wine steward from the Sordo family.
